Yi Zi Tang is a concentrated TCM herbal formula traditionally used to clear heat, resolve dampness, moisten the intestines, and promote bowel movement. Sheng Ma / Cimicifuga Rhizome — 2.0 g
Da Huang / Rhubarb Root and Rhizome — 1.5 g
Prepared into 5.0 g concentrated extract.
Raw herb to extract ratio: 21.5 : 5 = 4.3 : 1

This formula is commonly used for various hemorrhoidal conditions. For internal hemorrhoids with abdominal blood stasis, it may be combined with Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan. For constipation or intestinal dryness, Huo Ma Ren, Zhi Shi, and Chuan Pu / Hou Po may be added. For qi deficiency with rectal prolapse, it may be combined with Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang.
