Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan - 桂枝茯苓丸

Yi Zi Tang is a concentrated TCM herbal formula traditionally used to clear heat, resolve dampness, moisten the intestines, and promote bowel movement. In traditional practice, it is commonly prescribed for hemorrhoidal conditions, including hemorrhoidal bleeding, rectal prolapse, and related discomfort.

Ingredients / Composition
Dang Gui / Angelica Root — 6.0 g
Chai Hu / Bupleurum Root — 6.0 g
Huang Qin / Scutellaria Root — 3.0 g
Gan Cao / Licorice Root — 3.0 g
Sheng Ma / Cimicifuga Rhizome — 2.0 g
Da Huang / Rhubarb Root and Rhizome — 1.5 g

Prepared into 5.0 g concentrated extract.

Raw herb to extract ratio: 21.5 : 5 = 4.3 : 1

Clears heat, resolves dampness, moistens the intestines, and promotes bowel movement. Traditionally used for hemorrhoidal bleeding, hemorrhoids, rectal prolapse, and itching or pain in the anterior yin/genital area.

This formula is commonly used for various hemorrhoidal conditions. For internal hemorrhoids with abdominal blood stasis, it may be combined with Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan. For constipation or intestinal dryness, Huo Ma Ren, Zhi Shi, and Chuan Pu / Hou Po may be added. For qi deficiency with rectal prolapse, it may be combined with Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang.
